The media in India is equally to blame. Apparently, Katrina's skirt is much more worthwhile news than other actual issues in India today. Actually they are the most irresponsible ones to even give this stupidity this much publicity! Any society will have zealots and idiots who have problems with the way things are - it's when you start paying attention that they really start becoming a nuisance.

The 'Khadims' or the Durgah officials obviously had the benefit and the gift of 'common sense' enabling them NOT to raise any objection. The fanatic, fundamentalism and ignorance, that seems to prevail among all things Islam and Hindu (also!) is to blame and even more so the 'media' who feed this fanaticism and fundamentalism.
So people could see Katrina's ankles! So what? I agree with Deepak - there are more important things and events happening around India and the World, none as important or ground-breaking as Katrina's ankles!!
