WANTING what you get, is compromise not being ambitious, settling for less. Isnt it ?

Happiness could be derives by not expecting to get something. Maybe we should aim high and not expect anything. So then, success = "aiming in the right direction" and Happiness = "enjoying the journey".

I am all convoluted. Dont pay attention to me :))

well you are right(abt being convoluted... no jk).
my interpretation of this quote will be... if you achieve what you wanted to, then you are successful. and if you accept the results that you get from your efforts(irrespective of the outcome) then you are happy. and acceptance of the outcome only happens when we expect nothing.

well...im all convoluted...how can you expect something...cherish a dream...and remain happy even when that is not fulfilled?these are self-contradictory...when u r happy with what u get...after trying hard for something...u never really wanted it so much.. in my opinion.

That is we should expect nothing!
